Cenit.Finance is a web3 technology start-up dedicated to helping build the future of finance.

Our mission is to reduce the risk of Decentralised Finance (DeFi) to help in its mass adoption. We develop analytical tools that help quantify and understand risk exposure for  financial institutions in the ecosystem.

Our first product is an agent-based simulation engine that lets DeFi protocols measure and mitigate their market risks and optimise their capital efficiency. By feeding off-chain and on-chain data into our simulations along with the protocol’s native logic, we obtain a realistic engine that allows protocols to tune their parameters for optimal performance as the market evolves.

Responsibilities

• Design simulations that replicate the performance of DeFi protocols
• Conduct market risk analyses (e.g., stress/scenario analysis)
• Simulate, code, and test portfolio allocation strategies

Education / Experience

• You have a background in quantitative fields such as applied mathematics, physics, machine learning, statistics or engineering
• You have worked on trading strategies from idea to production
• Experience working with the Python data science stack
• Comfort working in a dynamic, research-oriented team with several ongoing concurrent projects
• You look forward to working with an interdisciplinary team that seeks to find solutions together.

The number of years of experience does not matter as long as you have built complex projects from scratch, a burning desire to learn more, constantly improve yourself, and solve tricky problems on a daily basis. We're a small team so you can assure yourself that whatever you contribute - in terms of an engineer, or otherwise - is always heard and discussed.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Ethereum or other EVM-based chains
• Previous hands on work in Risk and Portfolio Management
• Hands on Quantitative Trading experience in crypto
• CFA or FRM Certification
